susan weinerSusan Weiner a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator with a successful private practice in New York. Susan is a contributing medical producer for dLife TV and serves as a member of dLife’s prestigious medical advisory board.  Susan is the CDE for TheBestLife.com, a prominent health and weight loss website. Additionally, Susan’s expertise was tapped for The Best Life Guide to Managing Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes (Simon & Schuster 2009).  She is also the CDE for diabetessisters.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and advocacy of women with diabetes. Susan co-authored the "Medical Nutrition Therapy for Anemia" chapter for Krause's Food and the Nutrition Care Process. She is a valued contributor on a variety of nutrition topics – primarily weight management, diabetes and PCOS.

Susan is a well- respected lecturer for organizations such as the American College of Sports Medicine, and was the official sports nutritionist for the American Diabetes Association Walk America program. She was an adjunct professor of nutrition at Queens College for more than 13 years and taught at the Academy of Applied Personal Training Education at Hofstra University. Susan earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from Columbia University. She received a certificate in Adult Weight Management through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association). Susan maintains her own diabetes nutrition website at www.susanweinernutrition.com. She was recently voted by iVillage as  one of the top 10 nutritionist bloggers for diabetes education.

I desperately need to set some goals to get my management back on track. For the first time in months, I have no idea what my 7 day average is, let alone my 30 or 90 day average. I'm certainly not checking as often as I should be and I just can't seem to take time for tracking anything...
